We loved our stay here; the location is superb - peaceful, quiet and relaxing, yet it is easy to access town in a 5 minute walk where you can pick up any provisions or eat out. We did some great hiking in the area. The room is comfortable and the fridge and microwave are useful. It is spotlessly clean inside and out. The hosts could not be more pleasant or helpful. We took up some of their restaurant recommendations and were not disappointed! We stayed for 3 nights and could easily have had a couple more.

Cute self contained with a little kitchen and a fireplace. The owners are really helpful and provided wood for the fire on request, as well as an extra blanket and a towel. It’s good value for money as it’s self-contained with a fireplace. It’s also very close to a grocery shop and two cafés - one of which is the wonderful Casa de Abuela (highly recommended). The river walk to San Jose is great but long! Collective taxis are an easy option. Make sure to get Taxi numbers from the owners to avoid being overcharged

I had a lovely stay at Cabañas Camino al Cielo. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and peace and quiet felt surreal. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything I needed for a short stay. The owners were kind and helpful, and the energy of the place was just so serene. Perfect for reconnecting with nature and yourself. Highly recommend!

Marian’s homemade pasta was outstanding (and as an Italian, I have high pasta standards). Ale’s shakshuka was the best I’ve ever had, and Opy’s tea with honey was simply divine. The property itself was equally incredible, with breathtaking views and a beautifully decorated room complete with a cozy fireplace—perfect for cool evenings. This place really exceeded our expectations!! The cabin was sooo beautiful and really large (we had two stories with terraces, a furnace and two large beds)! The cabins are super comfortable and very tranquil. The view from the terrace is awesome! Location is remote (about 15-20 min walk to the main street). It wasn’t an issue for us and also means you are staying in the middle of the forest and it’s very quiet! It wasn’t sketchy or anything to get here in the evening. The tuktuks drive all the way to the house. We were able to check in early with a key box 👌

Property was beautiful just on the outside of town only a short tuk tuk in. Everything you need for a self contained stay. The views from this property were insane, make sure you sit outside in the dark to watch the firefly’s!! Also highly recommend the Temezcal 100 meters down the road amazing authentic experience.

The hosts and their lovely tips in the surrounding (walk down the hill with our 4 little children, very nice steak form Oaxaca while he arranged the fire for us, mezcal tasting under the stars, helping us with the kids and grocery’s ,…)… what a view! Thanks
