I liked the art and the pool. The hotel is located conveniently near the zócalo and surrounding food kiosks. The room was comfortable.
The public space in the courtyard needs to be made more welcoming as it isn’t a space where you feel you want to spend time.

Be aware during the dry season the humidity is only 20%. The altitude is high with 1500m. Pedestrian friendly centre.

I've been to Oaxaca city 5 times.
I've been to Oaxaca city 5 times. There is always something going on in the main square in the evening, music. There is often a festive parade for some occasion in street during day. The main part of Oaxaca City is small enough to be walkable and there are numerous beautiful churches. Also can do a day trip to Monte Alban ruins. Can go on a tour to Hierva Agua or catch the bus and go there on your own. There are tourist booths if you want a paper map, which I like to have. Also there is the artisan market. It is a safe city.

Culinary capital of Mexico, friendly locals, many spoke English but even when they didn't we still managed to get directions, or order food.
If u go on weekends find a church and see the weddings-they're spectacular with parades with musicians, festive costumes, large puppets of bride and groom...the police monitor street traffic.
Speaking of police, we felt very safe, even at night time, seen many single woman walking alone
And the weather is great, even year round...their hot/cold/ humid is tolerable by my standard- Chicago and Phoenix as baseline.
Went on real estate tour, noticed a rental that u walked in from street thru hallway to court yard with spiral stair case to terrace. Odd thing there were doors on bedroom and bathroom but not to kitchen to courtyard...its not that cold, and bugs are not that big of a deal-window screens are not thing

Great food, we never had a bad meal in 4 days. And most meals were outstanding. Monte Alban is amazing. The mole cooking class at Etno Food was fantastic. The museums that we visited were good but not great.

had a wonderful stay at this hotel that we decide to stay a few extra nights! the staff is literally the sweetest and the best!! everything is super clean sheets are comfortable and the kitchen is also gorgeous and super net ! would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking forward to coming to oaxaca city. they also have a super cute rooftop if you do remote work or just like to enjoy the view :)
A small boutique hotel only 5 rooms - so the atmosphere is intimate - the rooms well designed - wonderful lighting and cool local crafted details (carved door, tapestry cushions etc, bed huge!) the staff very attentive and helpful with any request - the breakfast delicious. Great location close to the action but away from the hustle and bustle - quiet street.
This hôtel is beautiful and located on a gorgeous neighborhood close to zócalo. The rooftop is as well very nice with pool and great view.
The employees were great all the time
