The staff is unbelievably friendly, accommodating and helpful! We came here before booking a room to ask if it's possible to have a look at one of the rooms to check if it looks like the pictures online. It was no problem and so we booked the hotel afterwards. Room was very clean, housekeeping is doing a very good job. Bed super comfortable, two different pillows. Perfect! Roof terrace with pool was cosy and just perfect for relaxing. Breakfast is always included and with different dishes every day. We rented a scooter to explore the island. You can do that directly at the reception, they have a direct contact to call. Within a few minutes we had our scooter and helmets. The location is quiet but perfect to get everywhere on the island within 30 minutes. Supermarkets, food courts and night market just around the corner. It was perfect for us and we extended our stay for another four nights. Booking directly through the reception was cheaper than booking.com. On our last day they offered us a shuttle service to the airport free of charge. We can highly recommend this hotel and would always come back!

Our recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was nothing short of outstanding. Nestled in one of the most peaceful and beautiful locations we’ve experienced, the resort offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and luxurious comfort. What truly made our stay memorable was the warm and attentive service from the staff, especially at the Horizon Bar. The team there went above and beyond, offering exceptional service and a genuine sense of hospitality that made us feel incredibly welcome. That said, everyone we encountered throughout the resort was consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. The food and cocktails were excellent — worth the premium compared to local prices. It is highly recommended if you're looking for a tranquil escape with top-tier service, stunning scenery, and a touch of indulgence.

The only positive note is the dining area was surprisingly clean and well-maintained. We had Indian food for dinner, which was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent—the staff from check in to check out were polite and attentive.

Its was a fantastic stay. I grew up in the north of Malaysia, staying close to the paddy field make me reminisce my chilhood and I was happy that my daughter had a glimpse of that experience. From the surroundings, the sound of frogs and cicadas, and waking up to the paddy field with its birds, butterflies and buffalos. Gemalai village is within the proximity of the Paddy Museum (Laman Padi) so we take a full package to experience a glimpse of the northern way of life in Malaysia. The rooms are well designed, spacious and is within walking distance to Chenang beach so we definitely will be staying here again if we are in Langkawi.
