Danta Corcovado Lodge offers its guests a library, Wi-Fi access in public areas free of charge and extensive gardens. Tea and coffee services are available from 06:00 to 22:00 hours. The bungalow was new and beautiful and very attractive and comfortable. The grounds, trails, view tower were immaculate and also full of birds and things to see. Restaurant and staff all very friendly and wonderful at customer service. I will recommend to others and be back!

Maze Lodge features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Puerto Jiménez. You are located right in the jungle! You are on the monkey highway’! So many animals to see right from your deck, three kinks of monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, trogons, hummingbirds and more. Great beds; screens on the windows as well as fans and good AC. This allows you to have the room open to a nice breeze or the comfort of the AC. Wonderful big shower with plenty of hot water. Large refrigerator with room for ice. Bird tour with Louise was wonderful, they have lots of other tours available and they will pick you up right at Maze Lodge. The lodge is right next to a Zip Line tour, we didn’t try it, but I’m sure you can get a great deal.

Set in Puerto Jiménez in the Puntarenas region, Natural Harmony Cabin offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property features garden views. Excellent communication and beautiful accommodation. The owner is incredibly caring, and we managed to communicate in English since I don’t speak Spanish. I’m so grateful for that. Everything was absolutely perfect. Whatever we needed, we received. We were even able to do our laundry and hang it out to dry, which was amazing. We ended up extending our stay because the environment was so stunning. Surrounded by parrots, hummingbirds in the garden, and even toucans that you could see or hear—such a magical place! The people were friendly, and everything was just wonderful. On our last day, we had a flat tire, and her son kindly helped me replace it. There aren’t many people like that in the world. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year! :)

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a pool with a view, pool view and a patio, La Amapola Lodge, Bungalow en Península de Osa. Is set in Barrigones. It’s got a great driveway, spacious house with two levels, great mosquito netting that goes around the bed, 3 bathrooms, lovely pets including a friendly parrot 🦜 and the outside patio is well kept and the pool stylish (and illuminated in the evenings!). We stayed for 6 nights with Geraldo and his family and they were very welcoming and even gave us fresh bananas and coconut waters daily. His wife did our washing and folded it really neatly. We were never bored as there is so much to do on the Osa Peninsula and we really missed the place and all the people and animals living there when we left. We saw squirrel monkeys from the balcony in the morning and saw macaws fly over the house regularly.

Offering mountain views, Finca la Bonita, Playa Carate in Carate offers accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries.... It was a unique stay in the middle of the jungle with an amazing view up to the sea over the canopy of the jungle. The sound of wildlife and the stay right inside the forest was very exotic.

With garden views, Kinkajoungalows - Amaya Family, Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula is set in San Pedrillo and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden and terrace. Gorgeous location where the jungle meets the ocean. Samuel, his family and staff did an amazing job of making us comfortable in such a remote place. Our cabin was large and airy, equipped with fans to keep us cool. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette seemed well-equipped, although we didn’t test it with any actual cooking. Meals were simple, fresh, and healthy, and our bartender Wendy made deliciously creamy maracuya (passion fruit) daiquiris. We saw toucans and scarlet macaws onsite, and on nearby forest paths we saw a sloth, an anteater, and groups of Capuchin monkeys.

Set in Cabo Matapalo, Four Monkeys Eco Lodge - Jungle & Beach offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. Silvina is an excellent host, very helpful and responsive. We had a marvellous time and saw so much wildlife during our stay! The off-grid experience was far more immersive than a hotel, and we slept very well in the comfortable beds, with the sounds of waves to lull us to sleep, and monkeys to wake us up!

With Matapalo Beach reachable in 600 metres, El Remanso Rainforest Lodge provides accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a private beach area. Knowledgeable guides led us to great wildlife sightings - sloth, anteater, 3 kinds of monkeys, agouti, coati, and so many beautiful birds. All staff members are friendly and efficient. Dining area is beautiful and restful with great views. We hated to leave and would love to return.
