Very beautiful city and easy to walk around from one place to another or tram when needed. We got to see the Kings Palace, ABBA Museum, Stockholm city hall and Stockholm old town. However, my husband and I found it strange you had to pay to use the bathroom in most public spaces e.g train station, museum etc. lastly May is not the best time to be there as a tourist. For a capital city, Stockholm is on a human scale, with most of the places of interest close by. The hop on/hope off tourist buses/boats are a great way of getting around. Some of the people can seem a little stern, but I think they are just direct, and to the point. Stockholm is virtually cashless. Stockholm is a beautiful city with many green areas and parks, and of course lots of waterways. We visited in the first week of May, 2025 and found the weather colder than we anticipated, averaging a high of about 10 degrees C. each day with strong, cold winds most days.
