Very beautiful city and easy to walk around from one place to another or tram when needed. We got to see the Kings Palace, ABBA Museum, Stockholm city hall and Stockholm old town. However, my husband and I found it strange you had to pay to use the bathroom in most public spaces e.g train station, museum etc. lastly May is not the best time to be there as a tourist. Too cold and rainy. But we got to see a bit of it regardless 😊

Very civilized city. People are welcoming and everyone speaks fluent english. Gamla Stan is full of small independent cafes and its mostly pedestrian with narrow cobblestone streets and very little car traffic.

For a capital city, Stockholm is on a human scale, with most of the places of interest close by. The hop on/hope off tourist buses/boats are a great way of getting around.
Some of the people can seem a little stern, but I think they are just direct, and to the point.
Stockholm is virtually cashless. Most places only accept card payments.

3 days is enough just to sample a bit of the city and enjoy the atmosphere. it's a beautiful mix of old and new, full of life and joie de vivre.
tips: plan a fika pit-stop at Skepsbro baggeri and also watch the sun descending from Skinnarviksberget. get yourself an SL ticket for trams/metro and take time to get to famous Solna metro station and some other gems along the blue line (Radhuset, T-Centralen, Kungstradgarden)

Stockholm is a beautiful city with many green areas and parks, and of course lots of waterways. We visited in the first week of May, 2025 and found the weather colder than we anticipated, averaging a high of about 10 degrees C. each day with strong, cold winds most days. While I normally don't visit places during the busy tourist season, my next visit to Stockholm will be late May or September.

Location of the hotel is excellent, right in the middle of everything or with easy access to everything, as metro station is right outside the front door.
Breakfast is possibly the best we ever had, combining perfect quality and unbelievably numerous choices!
Also, there is a nice lounge where you can have a beer or a cup of tea after returning from a long day wandering in beautiful- cold Stockholm.
Stuff very helpful, rooms spotless and clean!
The experience was awful, they had bed bugs in my room, and I got several bites. The hotel offered to refund, but when I got back to hotel with my luggage in the evening, the staff told me she was not informed and authorized to do so, and I had to come back again for their intenal process gap.
It is just ridiculous, just imagine you have bed bugs in Stockholm with Best Western
The hotel is very charming and extremely Swedish :-)
You see careful and beautiful details in everything, its all simple, but functional and at the same time sophisticated. I been in Stockholm many times and this was my best hotel experience.
Will certainly stay there the next time I go to Stockholm!
Location was great. Probably best part of the hotel. Station entrance next door. Supermarket and cafe's opposite/next door, and main central road of stockholm across the road. Easy to get to by taxi too, as the tunnel going under the city has an entrance right next to the hotel.
